With the successful manufacture and pressure testing of a DN 1800 expansion joint, Rattay once again demonstrates its expertise in delivering technically sophisticated custom solutions for high-end industrial applications. The Omega-profile expansion joint with pressure rings, designed in accordance with ASME Section VIII, was specifically developed for use in the jacket pipe of heat exchanger systems—applications where absolute reliability under extreme operating conditions is crucial. With a design pressure of 114 bar and a test pressure of 185 bar, the expansion joint meets the highest requirements for safety and fatigue strength. The successfully completed pressure test confirms the design’s performance even under maximum load.
The images from the pressure test provide a realistic glimpse into real-world conditions: They not only show the size and complexity of the component but also the precise monitoring of the test situation—at a test pressure of 185 bar. This is precisely where Rattay’s commitment shines through: engineering solutions that not only look good on paper but also perform under real-world conditions.
For our customers, this means:
- Maximum operational safety under high pressure and temperature loads
- Customized design for specific plant and process requirementsIndividuelle Auslegung für spezifische Anlagen und Prozessanforderungen
- Verifiable quality through comprehensive testing procedures
Whether for heat exchangers, process plants, or energy-intensive industrial applications—Rattay develops and supplies expansion joints that function reliably even under extreme conditions. A temperature range from -196°C to +1100°C and high-pressure levels are part of our daily standard.
